<p>An unfiltered light wheat beer with abundant and persistent foam, a rather rich but easy-drinking taste with subtle hop notes and a refreshing, invigorating character. The beer is brewed in accordance with the Purity Beer Act of 1516 from malt, hops and water. "Franziskaner" is one of the most famous brands of German wheat beer.</p> <p>The history of the Franziskaner brewery can be traced back to 1363. Historical documents mention that a certain Mr. Seidel Vaterstetter "owns a brewery next to the Franciscans in Munich" (the brewery was located across the street from the Franciscan monastery).</p>
