<p>A wheat smoked beer from Germany. It has a beautiful amber-brown color with glints of red garnet. It is produced from a mixture of barley and wheat malt. Barley malt - traditionally for the Schlenkerla brewery - is smoked with smoke from beech logs, which give a more vivid flavor, while wheat malt remains unsmoked. Since 2004, Rauchbier Weizen has been consistently awarded the German CMA quality label. The variety has also received top honors from international experts, including Best in Category at the Helsinki Festival (2011) and gold at the prestigious European Beer Star (2022).</p> <p><strong>Flavor Features</strong></p> <p>Has a full-bodied flavor dominated by hints of smoke, through which notes of wheat, earth, wood, banana, clove, caramel and chocolate come through. The aftertaste is juicy, refreshing and clean.
