Van Steenberge

A strong ale from Belgium. It has a beautiful golden honey color. It is produced by Van Steenberge, a company whose history began in 1784. When creating Piraat beer, the brewers were inspired by the history of 19th-century sea travelers. The beer acquires its “pirate” flavor from aging in barrels that previously held classic rum. In addition, the beer undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, acquiring a refined vanilla aroma.

Taste characteristics

Piraat Special Reserve Rum Barrel Aged has a rich, malty, velvety taste, dominated by notes of homemade bread, rum, and dried fruit.
