Belgian Dark Strong Ale Kwak Amber

<p>Belgian strong ale with a rich history. It was recreated by Bosteels brewery in 1980 according to old Flanders recipes. According to legend, the beer got its name in honor of the owner of the roadside tavern De Hoorn - the enterprising brewer Pauel Kwak. In those times it was forbidden for coachmen to leave their carriages, and the resourceful innkeeper invented an original solution - special glasses, which were fixed in special wooden holders directly on the carriages. The name Kwak also has a second interpretation - it imitates the characteristic sound that sounds when the drink overflows from the narrow neck of the glass into its spherical part.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Flavor characteristics</strong></p> <p>The beer has a rich and buttery flavor with dominant hints of malt and freshly baked bread. The aroma reveals juicy fruit motifs - ripe peach, juicy pear, sweet banana and fresh apple. They are intertwined with warm notes of malt, spices, delicate nougat and golden caramel.</p> <p><strong>Gastronomic combinations</strong></p> <p>Elle is often served as an aperitif or digestif. It also goes well with hearty dishes: roasted meat, game and smoked meats. Kwak Amber will pair well with salmon and various desserts, including chocolate.</p>
