Bruegel festival at Brasserie Lambic

Brasserie Lambic, in partnership with the Flemish tourism agencies VISITFLANDERS and visit.brussels, responsible for the development and promotion of Flanders - the northern region of Belgium - and Jurussel in foreign markets, is holding in March a festival dedicated to Peter Bruegel the Elder: 2019 marks the 450th anniversary of the death of the artist, who lived and worked in Brussels for many years.

As part of the festival, 3 trips to Belgium will be raffled off among Brasserie Lambic guests during the month - a weekend for two in Brussels that includes, a flight, 2 nights at the five-star Stanhope Hotel with breakfasts and the opportunity to visit exhibitions on the Bruegel Year program.

Also, to get closer to Flemish cuisine, a special menu together with Flemish chefs has been compiled, which will be available for a month in all restaurants of the chain: a palette of three appetizers - herring, pastrami and smoked duck (530 p), cream soup with smoked muksun (550 p), duck breast with nuts and quinoa (1150 p), lamb loin with topinambour and herbs (990 p) lake trout with potato risotto and pickled turnips (870 p), mug of shortbread dough stuffed with pumpkin and turnips with sweet goat cheese mousse (390 p).

In addition, there will be enogastronomic dinners demonstrating the right combination of Belgian and European dishes with Belgian beer.

The program starts with a dinner on March 12 at the restaurant on Arbatskaya. Popular beer columnist Alexander Surayev will be the speaker of the event. The dinner will include four servings accompanied by four Belgian beers, selected by a sommelier. Cost of participation - 2500 rubles.

The closing of the festival will be held on March 26 at Brasserie Lambic at Pushkinskaya. TV and radio host Vladimir Rajewski will be a special guest, sharing with guests not only stories about art of Flanders, but also about Peter Bruegel. The dinner will include four courses accompanied by several Belgian beers. Cost of participation - 2500 rubles.

The festival is supported by the Tourism Offices of Flanders and Brussels.
