Brasseri d'Ebly

Light tripel, made by top fermentation. It has a high strength of about 10%, as well as a beautiful light amber color and beige foam. La Corne Tripel is one of the few triple ales that does not contain spices and sugar. It is produced by the Belgian company Brasserie d'Ebly, which has a registered trademark Corne du Boisdes Pendus, which translates as "Horn of the Hanged Forest". The unusual name comes from an episode of the Franco-Austrian war in which locals hid from Eastern European soldiers in a part of the forest, shaped like a horn. Because of this, some beers produced by Brasserie d'Ebly, including La Corne Tripel, are commonly served in horn-shaped glasses.

Flavor profile

The drink has a rich, slightly sweet flavor, with pronounced notes of wood and fresh baked goods. The aftertaste is long, with light bitterness. There are nuances of flowers, fruit and hops in the aroma.

Gastronomic combinations

La Corne Tripel is an ideal match for Mediterranean dishes, a variety of cheeses such as blue, cheddar, gorgonzola, spicy and limburger as well as meats.
