Trappist beer has a beautiful golden color with a bright fruity aroma. La Trappe Blond consists of quality Belgian Pils malt, Belgian yeast, noble Styrian Goldings and East Kent Goldings hops. No spices are added to the beer, although tasting it gives that impression. The name "La Trappe" comes from the French abbey Notre Dame de la Grand Trappe, which was founded in the 19th century. However, the brand itself "La Trappe" appeared only in 1980. The recipes and technologies of the fifties were used as a basis for creating the new beer.

Flavor features

The drink has a mild malt flavor, which harmoniously combines sweetness and acidity. Notes of yeast, honey and fruit dominate. There is a slight bitterness. The aroma has nuances of caramel, fruit and sweet pastries.

Gastronomic combinations

In bars, La Trappe Blond is often offered as an aperitif. In addition, the drink goes well with Thai dishes, fish, salads, and cheeses, especially spicy, edamame and feta.
